Working in Tasks

A Stellar Task contains all the information you need to do a particular task.  This includes the media file, any existing subtitles or scriptfiles, existing audios, settings, and configurations. When you load a task you have everything you need to start working.

Opening a Task​

  • Either - Just click on the Task in your dashboard.

  • Or - Open the Tasks dialog vie the More Tasks link on the dashboard or via the Taks menu.

This open the following window.

In the Active Tasks Tab, they will now see the new Task that was assigned to them. All the details of the task will have been received in the previous email.

To load a task, left click on the download icon image.

tip

Hold Shift and then left Click on the download icon image to download the task and preload the associated audio files, if any.

Saving a Task​

Everything you do in a task is saved automatically.

In some cases when you create a lot of content, for example, rendering multiple audios there may be a delay while the data is stored to the server.  Watch the save icon Save buttonin the top bar, if it's yellow, it is still saving, if it's green, the server is up to date.

Muli- User Editing​

Multiple users can load the same task simultaneously. In order to prevent accidental edits, a user has to first take control of a text file before being able to edit. To take control of the file, press on the pen icon.

image - No one has control of the task.

image - You have control of the task.

image - Someone else has control of the task.

You can see who else is currently editing the task by hovering over the pen icon.
